La Tauperie’s private pool

La Tauperie is a distinctive contemporary Provencal villa built to an extremely high specification using traditional materials and styles. Inside it is exceptionally spacious and light, with terracotta flooring throughout. It is set in its own grounds of 5000 sq metres arranged down the side of the hill in steep terraces of olive and fruit trees some of which we believe to be many hundreds of years old. Because of this hillside location, La Tauperie enjoys quite spectacular commanding views over the surrounding countryside.

.Built on two levels, the villa is approached down its own driveway bordered by mature olive trees. A tiled porch leads into a cool entrance hall adjacent to which is a mezzanine floor and balcony with private sun terrace. A sweeping curved tiled staircase leads down to the main accommodation on the floor below. This comprises a large master bedroom (double bed) and en suite bath/shower room, separate w.c., two further bedrooms (one twin room and one double bedded room with a single bed) and an additional bath/shower room with w.c. There is a well-equipped kitchen (dishwasher, microwave etc.), a utility room with washing machine, and an extremely spacious L-shaped living room with TV, video, DVD and CD player. All the bedrooms have double doors leading out onto a tiled terrace with magnificent views out over the plain.

The principal terrace / outside dining area leads off both the kitchen and the living room and is at least partly shaded throughout the day during the summer months. There are steps down to the next terrace which in turn leads down to the private swimming pool, measuring approximately 11m x 5m.
